We are seeking an engineer with appropriate skills, education and experience to manage the day-to-day activities of a small (< 10 employees), dedicated technical staff tasked with product development, design review, documentation and customer support.
Essential Functions:
- Provide leadership to the technical staff through mentoring, training, and managing the activities of the team.
- Become actively involved in daily operations and product design efforts as needed to further the creation of new products, meet schedules, and resolve complex problems or issues as they arise.
- Develop, organize, prioritize, and assign engineering objectives and responsibilities consistent with goals established through direct coordination with Marketing/Sales, Manufacturing, and Procurement functions of the company.
Required Qualifications/Attributes:
- Four-year degree in an Engineering or Physics discipline
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a highly flexible manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications/Attributes:
- BSEE or advanced Electrical Engineering degree with analog design experience
- Working knowledge of solid-state power conversion principles and topologies
- 8+ years of engineering management experience
